Dyeing Day

It was our dyeing day so to speak and we lined up buckets and set about dunking, stirring, mixing in plastic bags and laying out and painting and spraying so that Jackson Pollock would be proud. That was for the more adventurous among us - I like mine to be as matte as possible. Pam's garden is lovely, the mulberry tree was shady and it was a perfect sunny summer day. We all enjoyed ourselves.

Is that pile the day's gain? I'll bet it was fun to try new ideas. Our school's kindergarteners made tye-dye by using marbles and rubber bands. One of the mothers took all the pieces they made and sewed them into a flimsy. It was amazing.
