Retreating

These are the left over pieces from a challenge
(top right) which used fussy cut four patches

This was the other triangle challenge a complete
botch on the back as I experimented with a
method of machine binding.

I spent the last week on a regular quilt retreat working on mini TQG challenge pieces for Festival, the Bonnies' mystery quilt stint and binding four quilts which I am very pleased about.

An enjoyable aspect is looking at what everyone else is doing especially as four of the people we Kent folk  only meet up with at these gatherings.

Here is a first sample batch:

This is Yvette's group's Sunflower quilt
destined for a Ukrainian refugee.

Stephanie with her lovely Tula Pink 100 blocks
quilt.

Mandy with bright disappearing nine patch

and with an I-Spy

Carrie with her super Elizabeth Hartman dinosaur quilt

Carrie again with a beautiful blue and white quilt

Rag bag

I had to take a photo of Give & Take in order to fill in my entry form so up it went on the shed and I put up the Fibonacci "Fib" Quilt at the same time. How I love this quilt, a workshop piece (as was G & T) and a nice surprise.

I have had the keeping of Margaret Harrison's quilt these last two years and here it is photographed in preparation for its being the Oast Quilters' raffle quilt at the Showcase next month.

I am lucky to have kind and clever friends and Mary gave me this for my birthday started in a workshop with Anne Kelly. It incorporates applique, broderie perse, printing, painting and embellishment and is carefully outline quilted. It goes on my doll bed.

And I have been arranging a second set of Laurel Burch swap blocks but am undecided as to how to set them.
