FOQ 3 Mostly traditional

Ann Davison: Wardrobe liberation  quilted by Kay Bell
I took this to remind me I have lots of saved clothes from which to make a quilt. Also I have the Susan Briscoe book of Japanese inspired block designs used in this quilt.

Anne Lilholm Jorgensen:
Twist of flowers
I have this Kim McLean
applique pattern -
another reminder though
I have different plans
 for the flower blocks.

I was impressed by the
quilting.

l always look out for Pippa Moss's latest Hawaiian
quilt at FOQ and this one is a masterpiece. I first
encountered her on social media and have heard her
speak and met her at a TGQ group weekend retreat.

Gill Nichols:
I believe this is based on a Lucy Boston quilt.
I have noted the wide star sashing and the use of that particular star.

Jan Randall: The Boroughbridge quilt
I think this quilt should have been my visitor's choice - I couldn't think at the time. I love the the way the the straight furrows are distinct but not sharply defined as medium shades creep into the lighter setting. The use of colour is superb, the texture of the folded log cabin and soft fabrics used. A  quilt to have and to hold.

Ela Zieman: Gypsy Wife 1
This is a Jen Kingwell pattern I have long intended to make.
