Quilters Guild Conference

Lots of good things today. I loved Moira Neal's talk; she kept a good pace and it was all utterly joyful.  Maggi Relph of the African Fabric Shop reminded us of how good these fabrics look and it was touching to see her emotion at  the thought of all the friends she has made through the fabrics and the Guild. I took quite a few pictures of De-Anne Hartwell Jones' quilts. This lady doesn't own a sewing machine; she does everything by hand over papers though latterly she has resorted to having some of her  quilts long arm quilted. All my pictures are of her work.
Hexagons

1712 blocks made with the aid of Susan Briscoe's book.

Kaffe Fassett wanted this but he will have to make his own!!

A wool "Celtic" quilt using fabric from Wales, Scotland and Ireland.

I was intrigued how these striped effects were achieved - they're pieced.
