Yesterday's meeting and today's tea

French onion soup for tea. The recipe involved 8 hours of cooking plus croutons. I assume this was because it was cooked overnight ready for the porters of Les Halles when they had completed their dawn stint. It was good but I shall opt for a simpler version next time. Lunch was at Chom Choms as we collected friends off the coach from Rye, lunched, then coffee at our house and onto the doorstep of the theatre in plenty of time.
