I have just come up from a machine quilting session in my sewing room. This has been probably the greatest single improvement to my sewing life. I love my new neutral uncluttered room. I still have a bit more to to do but the transformation is nearly complete. I'll just post before and after photos here and say a bit more tomorrow.

I like the light coming in that big window and the bookcase filled with books ... and if you are like me ... they are organized in a way you can go and get the one you want in an instant. (my hallway has three bookcases in a row)
I love your room. It's so tranquil. I'm getting ready to completely empty out my sewing room, and purge and re-organize. You've given me inspiration! I know it's not true for all, but for some of us, a clean, uncluttered room is more conducive to creativity and productivity. And thanks for the idea of putting a bookcase in the hallway. I never thought of that!
