Merchant & Mills

Merchant and Mills is a famous shop based in Rye with special fabrics and clothes patterns. Until now I have never managed to visit but as the satnav took me through Rye I stopped and found it very close to hand.

What a super space

And yes I did buy something, beautiful artisan basics and neutral thread,

Child's Quilt

To give myself a break I decided to use as a piece a half yard of fabric from my cupboard and make a row quilt for a child, probably for Linus. I have yet to quilt it.

The inspiration fabric.

Pluckley Quilt Show

This was in the foyer. What an interesting design.

I went with friends to the Pluckley Quilt Show for the first time. It was a delightful way to spend a Saturday morning with various interesting and impressive quilts, useful traders and of course delicious homemade cake.
